Hair loss, bloating, body aches, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, burnout, moodiness, low libido, weight gain, insomnia. Every one has physiology underneath it.
In this recap I name what is often behind each symptom. Low ferritin can act like depression. Low progesterone can feel like anxiety. Low estrogen can look like brain fog, and sometimes like early dementia. Low testosterone can look like 'I don't care about anything.' High cortisol looks like anxiety, insomnia, and weight that won't move. And thyroid dysfunction can look like all of them.
Every one is measurable, testable, and treatable.

Hair loss, bloating, body aches, joint pain, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, burnout, moodiness, low libido, weight gain, insomnia. Okay? All of these have physiological reasons, whether it's low ferritin, thyroid dysfunction, low stomach acid, systemic inflammation, gut permeability, declining estrogen and Autoimmune activity that's not been named yet. This is often what's behind these symptoms. Gut permeability, SIBO, low stomach acid. This is behind bloating. Okay. Low ferritin, low D vitamins, B12.
This is what's behind a fatigue that sleep doesn't touch. Low progesterone, high cortisol, thyroid, blood sugar swings. This is often a...that's behind the anxiety that comes out of nowhere. Insomnia, often it's low progesterone or a cortisol curve that's flipped. Brain fog, low estrogen, thyroid, B12, inflammation, low ferritin. All right? What's behind burnout?
Flat cortisol pattern. Hashimoto's, low thyroid. They all look and act like burnout. Okay? What's behind moodiness? Progesterone falling ahead of estrogen, thyroid dysfunction, gut inflammation, and your vitamin D that has tanked. And what's behind low libido?
Low testosterone, okay? Oftentimes that's the biggie. And last but not least, what is behind the weight gain that won't budge? Well, cortisol releasing glucose, insulin resistance, a slow thyroid, shifting estrogen and progesterone, like several things all at once, which is why changing only one won't move the needle. Okay? All of those impact weight gain. So every one of those is found in our physiology.
Low ferritin acts like depression. All right. Low progesterone acts and feels like anxiety. Low estrogen acts like brain fog and sometimes like early dementia. Low testosterone looks and acts like depression or I don't care about anything. High cortisol looks and acts like anxiety, insomnia, and weight that won't move. And thyroid dysfunction can look like all of those.
So much of what gets treated as depression and anxiety in the season is one of those sitting in blood work that nobody looked at well. Okay. Every single one of them is measurable. Every single one is testable and it is treatable. Okay.
